About Floorboards
Floorboards are family-owned, independent, and operated by a close-knit team of passionate flooring specialists. We supply and install hard surface flooring in homes throughout the Waikato and Bay of Plenty.
Floorboards are specialists in hard surface flooring
For over two decades we've supplied and installed hard surface flooring to homes across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. We've helped countless families, interior designers and builders create beautiful interior spaces with timber, laminate, cork, hybrid and leather flooring.
Floorboards is a family-run business, started by a local Cambridge builder with a passion for project management and an eye for detail. We're proud to be one of the industry's most trusted suppliers and installers of hard surface flooring.
"Our difference is our personal touch and attention to detail. From consultation to installation and beyond, you'll be taken care of every step of the way. You deserve the right floor to live on in your home – so we'll go the extra mile to understand your needs and get you the right combination of function, style, and beauty."

Our commitment to sustainability
Every part of a building or renovation project is resource intensive – but it doesn’t have to cost the Earth. That’s why we’ve selected suppliers and manufacturers that are proving their commitment to reducing their harm to nature.
From managed forestry sites for our hardwoods to the reclaimed wood used as core boards for many of our products, the traditional and sustainable harvesting of cork bark for our Cork and CorkWoodXP products, and the low-VOC certifications of our composite floors, you can enjoy your new flooring knowing that sustainability has been considered with every range.
In the 20+ years we have been installing floors, we have found two main methods for connecting boards that we trust: the traditional T&G (tongue-and-groove) system that’s used exclusively on our glued timber floors, and the mechanical interlocking system called Uniclic® for floating floors – ranges installed without glues or adhesives.
As new methods are developed, we assess these to make sure we continue to provide a quality installation.
If you would like to know more technical information about any of our flooring ranges see our brochures, view our BPIR information page, or contact our team at our Hamilton Showroom on 07 959 1861 and they will be able to assist you.
